Exciting opportunities to join our Property Services team at East Kent Housing
The job opportunities:
- Contracts Manager
- Contracts Surveyor
- Compliance Inspector
- Maintenance Inspector
Grade H – L (£25,812 - £45,873)
(Dependent on role, qualifications and experience)
East Kent Housing (EKH) is the first “super ALMO”, providing housing services across four local authority areas. We started six years ago, and have delivered year on year savings and improved performance. We are developing our own culture and ways of working, and we have effective relationships with the four councils.
We are in an exciting and challenging phase of our journey and there is much to be achieved; I have been in post as the Director of Property Services since November 2016 and having reviewed the tasks to be delivered and the resources available, I am seeking to build an agile, experienced and talented team capable of leading us forward for the future.
We have concluded a review of the service and implemented an action plan. We are delivering a new IT system in order to consolidate four legacy systems and are well on the way to restructuring EKH to deliver the services demanded of us by our four client councils and residents.
Primarily based in Dover and required to work within each of the Local Authority partner areas on a regular basis, including travel to EKH offices, Client Councils and managed assets / properties.
All of this means our team members need to bring competency, energy, experience, tenacity and a customer focused approach to the role.
You will have commitment and enthusiasm; an ability to cope with challenge; a solutions based approach and a track record of delivering to predetermined requirements.
Our partnerships with our four client councils and residents are of great importance to us and you will need to build relationships and trust, and be capable of delivering to stakeholders who have different priorities and perspectives.
