What we’ve been doing
Local Offers for local
residents
We have been working with staff to develop
local offers for Thanet tenants.
What are Local
Offers?
Local offers are service
standards that are tailored to meet the needs of the local
residents which will start on 1 April 2011. They also set
out:
- How performance will be monitored and reported to tenants.
- How we can be involved in scrutinising performance.
- What happens if local standards aren’t met.
To help us get the local offers right we have
consulted approx 500 tenants.

Working with East Kent
Housing
We have been meeting to agree how we will work
with the Board of East Kent Housing in the future, to monitor the
performance and ensure they are accountable to residents.
TTLF Handy Tip Pay a little
extra rent each week from now till Christmas so you don’t have to
pay rent Christmas week. An average rent of £65 would mean just
paying an extra £1.30 per week for a rent free week at Christmas or
double this amount to £2.60 per week and you could even give
yourself 2 weeks off!

TTLF Handy Tip If you get
worried about rent arrears or you don't understand your rent
statement, just remember the rent staff are there to help. They
will help and give advice, don't sit and worry about rent problems.
Give them a call.
