Tenants Annual Report – September
2010
Introduction
We have produced this annual report for the
year ended 31 March 2010 in line with the Tenant Services
Authority’s (TSA) requirements to report to our tenants how we meet
the national standards they have set for all social housing
landlords, any gaps and our improvement plans to meet them.
The new government’s Housing Minister has
announced he intends to abolish the TSA but is likely to keep the
standards, so we are going ahead with producing this report.
We have set out the commitments and actions we
propose to take by 31 March 2011 to improve our services to you and
fully meet the TSA’s national standards and agree local standards
with you.
We have used the results from recent
consultations to shape this report as well as our Residents
Editorial Board and Thanet Tenant and Leaseholders Forum to agree
this report.
We would like to hear your feedback on this
report. Details of how you can do this and opportunities as
to how you can get involved in the monitoring and scrutinising the
standards can be found in Involvement
and empowerment.
The TSA guide “What does the regulatory
framework mean for you?” has been drafted to provide you with more
information about the social housing standards. Contact us if
you would like a copy to read in conjunction with this report.
