Estate inspections
What are estate inspections?
Estate inspections play a
fundamentally important part of the work that we do. We want
our estates to be clean and tidy, and we want you to be proud of
your home and the area you live in.
Estate inspections are important
because they provide the opportunity for Housing Officers to:
- be approached informally by residents and invite them to join
the inspection if they want;
- identify, with residents, any problems on the estate and talk
about the options for dealing with them;
- look for any improvements that can be made; and
- work with other partners in the area, such as the police, local
councillors, or repairs contractors.
When we inspect our estates
Each of our estates is formally
inspected twice a year. We advertise the dates of these and
encourage residents to join us.
The dates for our formal inspections
are listed below. If you would like to be involved, you can
either:
Your Housing Officer will then contact
you.
Don't worry if you can't get involved
in an inspection in person - email us or phone us to give us your
comments and suggestions, and your Housing Officer will deal with
them as part of their inspection of your estate. They will
then contact you to let you know what they are doing about it. You
can find out who your Housing Officer is on your local 'Contact Us' page.
