Apply for sheltered
accommodation
The Housing Need Register
To apply for sheltered housing, you
need to fill in an application form so that your circumstances can
be considered. You will then be assigned a place on the
Housing Need Register within one of our five 'bands.' Band
one indicates the highest level of need, whereas band five
indicates the lowest. If your circumstances change, you can
have your banding re-assessed.
East Kent Housing is not responsible
for the Housing Need Register or lettings; this remains a function
of the council.
