Who do I contact to report a
repair?
If you are a tenant of Thanet Council
you can use a free telephone number to report repairs that are
needed:
For general repairs call Mears:

On 0800 0234 320. This is a
free phone number. Please note calls to 0800 numbers are only free
from a landline. Calls from mobiles may be charged by your network
provider.

It may be cheaper to call Mears on
01843 282 104 from your mobile.

Opening times for repairs
Mears provide a 24/7 service via
the 0800 numbers and the local numbers for each area, but
after 5pm and before 8am the calls are taken by a central call
centre which books emergencies only. If you call after
5pm the call centre will be able to take your request for
general repairs and pass these on to the local
office.

please give as much information as possible to help prioritise the
work correctly and get somebody out to you as quickly as possible.

servicing and maintenance.
