Due to the Government’s Welfare
changes, the amount of Housing Benefit some tenants will receive
will go down from April 2013. As a result, some tenants are
having to pay a contribution each week towards their rent for
the first time.
We have written to those tenants we know will
be affected by the changes to let them know how much they need to
pay and how they can pay.

your Housing Benefit entitlement. If you believe this is

Why it’s important to
pay your rent
Keeping your rent account up to date is
one of the key parts of your tenancy agreement with the Council. If
you don’t keep up with your rent payments, your home will be at
risk.
