Young Tenants Forum
What is it?
In 2008, we carried out a survey to
see what our tenants and leaseholders thought about the service we
provide. It showed that younger tenants are our least
satisfied customers.
To find out why, and to see how we
could improve, we set up the Young Tenants Forum.
The Forum is made up of tenants aged
18 - 27 years old from across the district. It often meets at
a local community centre during the daytime, and childcare is
provided to members who may need it. We also pay for
transportation to and from the meetings.
What does it do?
The purposes of the Forum are:
- To assess what we do from the point of view of younger
tenants;
- To review how well our service meets younger tenants' needs and
expectations;
- To recommend how the service can be improved;
- When improvements are made, to monitor how they are made and
the impact of these changes on younger tenants.
