Tenant Participation

For many years we have worked alongside local people who share our desire to improve the area that they live in and the services they receive.  We have set out our commitment to continuing doing this in our 2010 Tenant Compact, called 'Every Tenant Matters.'

We offer many ways for you to get involved and have your say in how your home and neighbourhood are managed.  Some may take only a few minutes of your time whilst others may take more – it’s up to you how much time you can spare.  Below are some ideas.

Ideas for taking part

From your home:

• Keep up to date through the website and your local East Kent Housing newsletter
• Let us know (this link will take you back to the Canterbury City Council website)
• Take part in our surveys through Talk Housing
• Reading panel
• Take part in our online survey 

In your community:

• Come to one of our events (advertised on this website in the News section)

• Estate inspections
• Become a resident monitor
• Tenants/residents associations
• For young people - find things to do on the council's Children and Youth website, Not Bored

Locally with your landlord:
